Day 1 Thur. Sydney, Port Macquarie

Beginning in Sydney, you'll drive across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Central Coast, en route to Port Macquarie. This attractive town is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Hastings River and surrounded by farmland and lush pockets of rainforest. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner and Drinks, where you'll meet your fellow travellers, and relax and unwind at your hotel.

Day 2 Fri. Port Macquarie, Byron Bay

This morning, depart Port Macquarie and head to the famously beautiful coastal town of Byron Bay in the far north-east of New South Wales. Then depart for the stunning beachside resort of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. Tonight, perhaps dip your toe in the waves or stroll along the pristine white sands just a stone's throw from your hotel.

Day 3 Sat. Brisbane, Moreton Island

Drive to Brisbane and enjoy time at leisure to explore Queensland's bustling capital city. Later, cruise to Moreton Island National Park
and settle into Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort, where you'll stay for two nights while exploring the incredible wildlife and stunning scenery of the surrounding region.

Day 4 Sun. Moreton Island, Freedom of Choice Touring, Wild Dolphins

Today select from our three Freedom of Choice Touring activities on Moreton Island. You may choose to take a journey on a purpose-built catamaran along incredible coastline in search of dolphins and other marine wildlife while listening to expert commentary. Experience the thrill of riding a quad bike through the island's beach and bushland after lessons with a guide, or board a cruise and watch for migrating humpback whales with a marine biologist (seasonal availability). Tonight, you may enjoy the opportunity to interact with the friendly dolphins that swim close to the island's shore.

Day 5 Mon. Australia Zoo, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Island

This morning after breakfast, return to the mainland and visit Australia Zoo, made famous by Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. Explore the fascinating home of more than one thousand native and exotic animals, as well as the adventurous Irwin family. Then, travel to Hervey Bay and cruise to the beautiful World Heritage-listed Fraser Island.

Day 6 Tue. Fraser Island

Today, enjoy a tour of Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island, in 4WD vehicles. Explore this beautiful oasis of lakes, tropical rainforest and white sands.

Day 7 Wed. Rockhampton

This morning, travel to the city of Rockhampton on the Fitzroy River, and take a stroll around the Botanic Gardens. Regarded as among the best collections in regional Australia, the gardens feature excellent specimens of palms, cycads and ferns, some of which are over 100 years old. Wander the beautifully manicured grounds, including the Japanese Garden and Murray Lagoon, and enjoy the stunning displays of flora.

Day 8 Thur. Airlie Beach, Daydream Island

Today travel to Airlie Beach, in the heart of the Whitsundays, and cruise to the tropical paradise of Daydream Island. This region is a mecca for sailing enthusiasts as well as those passionate about wildlife. Look out for the wallabies that roam freely across the island. This evening, enjoy dinner at the resort.

Day 9 Fri. Daydream Island, Freedom of Choice Touring

Today perhaps board a cruise through the Whitsundays to the Outer Barrier Reef. Visit Knuckle Reef, enjoy a reef education presentation and view the tropical fish from the observatory. Alternatively, you may choose to embark on the Two Island Experience, visiting Hook Island as well as beautiful Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island.

Day 10 Sat. Whitsundays, Townsville, Cairns

Return to the mainland and travel to Townsville, the centre for marine research of the Great Barrier Reef. Your next stop is the vibrant tropical city of Cairns, where the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest converge.

Day 11 Sun. Port Douglas, Kuranda, Freedom of Choice Touring, Farewell Dinner

Visit the pretty coastal town of Port Douglas, which sits between the two World Heritage-listed sites of the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Then drive to Kuranda before returning to Cairns by scenic railway or skyrail cableway. Glide just metres away from the rainforest canopy, passing waterfalls as you journey down the range. Tonight enjoy a Farewell Dinner at Tjapukai by Night with your crew and tour group. Take part in a corroboree, then be led along a flame-lit pathway to a dinner banquet.

Day 12 Mon. Depart Cairns

Your tour ends in Cairns today as you are transferred to the airport.
